Sahara Foundation is a national level, non-profit making, non-governmental organizational (NGO) established in 2009. It is registered in District Administration Office (DAO) of Kathmandu and affiliated in social Welfare Council (SWC) as an NGO. Sahara Foundation believes that to make a change into the life of Women and Youth as well marginalized group equal access to resources and decision-making opportunities. It provides and promotes the educational support, school enhancement program, Socio- economic empowerment of women and youth and taking care of health and sanitation. In addition, Sahara Foundation has been supporting the education program by the way of individual scholarships, relief program, and entrepreneurship development. Women and youth are at the heart of everything we do.
On the other hand, it works for promoting equitable societies by addressing the social issues of marginalized, oppressed and disadvantaged and minority groups and communities. Sahara Foundations consists of Nine dedicated, highly professional and experienced board and full-time staff in the development sector. It has experience in disaster relief and management. We are also focusing projects on marginalized community especially Muslims, Dalit, Chepang/ Praja, Raute and other marginalized groups. Our endeavors are making changes in the lives of women and youth to make unity them into a rope for their betterment of life in the society.
